Oregon Relays - April 19 & 20

Pros, college, high school and middle school athletes compete this weekend at Hayward Field for the Oregon Relays.
Pro Fields
Olympic bronze medalist in the 800, Raevyn Rogers of Union AC headlines the pro 800 with Oregon Duck athletes Klaudia Kazimierska and Ella Nelson in the mix. Josh Kerr of Brooks Beasts, who won the 1500 meters at last summer's World Championships, headlines the men's pro 800. Brandon Miller of Brooks Beasts, Sam Prakel of Adidas and Matt Erickson, Elliott Cook and Rheinhardt Harrison of Oregon will also be in the 800.
Karissa Schweizer of Bowerman will lead the 1500 meter field that includes Oklahoma State athletes Billah Jepkirui and Gabija Galvdyte and Oregon athletes Mia Barnett, Maddy Elmore and Silan Ayyildiz. Former Oregon State runner Kaylee Mitchell runs at Hayward Field for the first time as a pro with Bowerman. Kieran Lumb of On, Brandon Kidder of Brooks Beasts and Mo Ahmed of Bowerman will lead the men's mile. Josiah Tostenson of Crater High School will run with the pros in the mile. The men's distance medley will include a world record attempt by Brooks Beasts.
High School
West coast athletes to watch at the high school events in the Oregon Relays include 800-meter girl runners Ellery Lincoln of Lincoln (OR), Rebecca O'Keefe of Skyline, Emma Bennett of Jesuit, Julia Couch of Auburn Riverside and Alexa Matora of Lake Washington. JT Kraemer of Long Beach Wilson returns to the Oregon Relays boy's 800 with challengers Connor Hom of Eastlake, Connor Rickey of Issaquah and Caleb Doddington of Crater. Owen Powell of Mercer Island will attempt to break the 1000-meter high school record.
NXN athletes Chloe Huyler of Lakeridge and Anna Callahan of Skyline will lead the west coast athletes in the girl's one mile. The deep field includes Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island, Eliza White of Curtis, Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley, Lauren Ayers of Tualatin and Ana Peters of Lake Oswego. Asher Danielson of Ida B Wells, Blake Reynolds of Central Kitsap and Jonathan Miles of Gig Harbor will be the top west coast athletes in the high school mile.
Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley is the top entry in the girl's 2-mile. Chloe Huyler of Lakeridge, Maura O'Scannlain of Jesuit, Ella McGillis of Central Catholic and Keira Saavedra of Lincoln have all gone under ten minutes in the 3000 in their high school career. Tayvon Kitchen of Crater heads the boy's 2-mile which includes Malachi Schoenherr of Sheldon, Hayden Boaz of Summit, Vincent Recupero of Bishop Blanchet and Jack Meier of West Salem.
Oregon Relays will also have a distance medley on Friday and 4 X 800 relay on Saturday.
