NCAA West Regional - November 10
Haggin Oaks Golf Course - Sacramento, CA
Division 1 collegiate schools from the western region meet at Haggin Oaks Golf Course on Friday to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championship that will be held on November 18 at Panorama Farms in Virginia. The top two teams automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships. Teams that do not make the top two spots will hope for one of the 13 at-large bids from all the regions. The top four individuals not on an automatic qualifying or at-large team will also secure an auto-bid.
The women's race starts at 10am and will race on a 6K course at Haggin Oaks Golf Course. Stanford women are ranked 7th and Washington women are ranked 8th. Two weeks ago Washington edged Stanford for the Pac-12 title. Other west regional ranked teams include #12 Oregon, #17 Oregon State, #21 California Baptist and #30 Portland. The top five finishers at last year's west regional return including Kaylee Mitchell of Oregon State, Laura Pellicoro of Portland, Zofia Dudek of Stanford, Izzy Thornton-Bott of Oregon and Yasna Petrova of California Baptist. Freshman Amy Bunnage of Stanford won last week's Pac 12 Championship, Rosina Machu of Gonzaga won the WCC Championship, Sierra Atkins of UC Davis won the Big West Championship and Greta Karinauskaite of California Baptiste won the WAC Championship.
The men's race starts at 11:00am and will race on a 10K course at Haggin Oaks Golf Course. California Baptist comes into regionals ranked #4 and Stanford is ranked #10. Other west regional schools that are ranked include #22 Washington and #26 Oregon. Gonzaga's Wil Smith and Stanford's Ky Robinson return from their top five finishes from last year's west regional. Ky Robinson won the Pac 12 Championship, Matt Strangio won the WCC Championship, Davis Bove of Cal Poly SLO won the Big West Championship and Arturs Medveds of California Baptist won the WAC. Championship.

Eagle Island State Park- Eagle, ID
The top two teams and five individuals race Saturday at Eagle Island State Park in Eagle Island, ID for a spot at NXN held at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, OR on December 2.
The girls championship race goes off at 2:25 Mountain Time. In last week's DyeStat regional ranking, Lincoln of Oregon is ranked ahead of Jesuit of Oregon. Last Saturday the Crusaders turned the table by winning the Oregon 6A State Meet and now DyeStat national rankings has Jesuit at #14 and Lincoln at #16. Central Kitsap of Washington is ranked third and won their second consecutive 3A Washington State title last weekend. Idaho has two strong schools in Timberline and Boise Senior and hope the home state advantage helps. Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley set the course record at the Oregon State Meet last Saturday and qualified last year. Logan Hofstee of East Valley (WA) and Anna Callahan of Skyline (WA) won their Washington State Meet divisions and hope to return to NXN. Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island (WA) and Chloe Huyler of Lakeridge hope to get one of the five individual spots.
In the boys championship race that starts at 3:15 MT, Crater of Oregon is ranked #1 regionally and backed up that ranking by winning the 5A Oregon State Meet last Saturday. Coeur d'Alene and Rocky Mountain of Idaho are ranked #2 and #4 in DyeStat's regional ranking and hope to break through in the top two teams. Franklin and Jesuit finished first and second at Oregon's 6A State Meet and rank #3 and #5 in the latest DyeStat regional poll. Jack Meier of West Salem won an impressive 6A Oregon State Meet and Asher Danielson of Ida B Wells has been a rival all season in 6A Oregon. Washington athletes Owen Powell of Mercer Island, Parker Mong of Anacortes and Vincent Recupero of Bishop Blanchet are other individuals to watch.
