The University of Washington hosts the two day UW Invitational this weekend. Here are the distance races to watch.


600 Meters

Kyle Reinheimer of Washington set the school record in the 800 two weeks ago and set to race in the invitational 600 meters. Teammate Justin O'Toole came close to breaking the school record in the 800 two weeks ago and is in the 600.


800 Meters

Chloe Foerster of Washington and Laura Pellicoro of Portland are some of the top collegiate athletes in the women's 800. Nathan Green lost his school record in the 800 two weeks ago and will try to regain the mark. Aidan McCarthy of Cal Poly and Sam Ellis of On Athletics will also be challengers.


Mile

Laura Pellicoro of Portland and Chloe Foerster of Washington are listed in both the 800 and mile. Kaylee Mitchell of Nike, Marion Jepngetich of New Mexico, Mia Cochran of Washington and Grace Fetherstonhaugh are also entered in the mile. Leo Daschbach of Washington and Mark Milner of Portland are the fastest returners from Mile City race two weeks ago. Washington grad Aaron Ahl has a 3:55 personal beat and will be a contender.


3000 Meters


The 3000 meter and 5000 meter races will be contested on Friday afternoon. Pamela Kosgei of New Mexico finished second at November's NCAA Cross Country Championship and is entered in the women's 3000. Professional athletes Jenn Randall and Emily Venters are entered in the 3000 meters. Collegiate athletes Marion Jepngetich of New Mexico and Zenah Cheptoo of Washington State are also entered. Wil Smith of Gonzaga, Rhys Hammond of Washington, Garrett MacQuiddy of California, Thomas Diamond of Washington and Evan Kurui of Washington State are some of top seeds in the men's 3000.
